Critical Orientations to Sustainability and Spirituality
(Booklet Series)

We have embarked on publishing reprints of articles, book chapters, reports, reflective pieces, etc that offer critical orientations to sustainability and spirituality. This is a booklet series. In the first phase, covering 12 months (starting from October 2014), we will publish 12 titles. This series is being published by Public Media Agency (PMA).

The booklet will cost USD 5* (see below for differentiated pricing; purely to recover the cost of designing and production; 'profit' if any will be donated to an orphanage). The size of the booklet is 17 cm (h)  by 12 cm (w). It will have about 40 to 70 pages (excluding the cover) and will be peppered with relevant quotes (that can be used in e-cards or meaningful SMSs) with a blank page or two at the end to jot down your thoughts, insights, or questions.  The booklet can easily be carried around. And after reading, you can pass it on to your relatives and/or friends. The series booklets will also be ideal as gifts for persons who like to travel through books and meet new ideas and possibilities.

Suitable for students, teachers, public intellectuals and activists who want to look beyond 'religious sectarianism', 'new age adventurism', 'left wing ultra-conservatism' and 'corporate utopianism' at sustainable alternatives. Recommended for those who want to explore socially-embedded 'spiritual responses' to planetary challenges that have local impacts. Relevant for those who want to 'think-feel out of the box' for solutions. Useful for conversations and coursework.

Available Now:
- Culture and Spirituality by D. Paul Schafer (please see here and here). 40 pages.
- The Wisdom of the Ancients by Robert Roskind. 70 pages.

"I...read Nat’s thirty-two meditations very carefully, pausing after reading each one to reflect on the profound insights and messages contained therein, as well as learning that each meditation possessed powerful ideas and evocative images with respect to the world of the future and the role that sustainable cultures and cosmologies in Asia can play in this.  This enabled me to see that these meditations - indeed the entire book including the Appendix - lead us to a world that is far more in keeping with the emotional, sustainable, and spiritual requirements of the future than the physical, material, and technical demands of the present...It is one of the most far-sighted, thoughtful, and moving statements I have ever read on what is wrong with the current world system and what is required to set things right."
